dSPACE's automatic code generation software, TargetLink, is a professional, industry-proven development tool that supports the target-specific TASKING compilers from Altium. In its standard version TargetLink already generates highly efficient C code, directly from block diagrams and statecharts of MATLAB®/Simulink®/Stateflow® from the MathWorks.

As an additional benefit TargetLink generates target-specific, optimized code for many compiler/processor combinations like the TASKING VX-toolset for TriCore as well as the classic C166/ST10 toolset and for the XC2200 family (via the VX-toolset for C166/ST10). The TargetLink Target Optimization Modules make full use of the processor's and compiler's advantages, for example, by using compiler-specific language extensions and inline assembler language. This further increases the efficiency of the generated C code.
