Dedham, MA, January 19, 2001 — TASKING, The

the appointment of Dr. Julian Horn as TASKING's Chief Technology
Officer. Over the past year, TASKING has significantly grown its
embedded software development solutions by bringing together the
software technology needed to compete in the embedded communications
era. Responsible for TASKING's strategic technical direction, Horn
will grow that vision by evaluating technology, assessing customer
needs and examining market trends to develop new engineering
initiatives on behalf of the company in North America, Europe and
Asia.

experience as a technical visionary responsible for cross

Julian Horn brings to TASKING more than
twenty-four years of senior technology development and direction at
Intermetrics, a software development company specializing in complex
critical systems. Over the course of his career, Horn directed
Intermetrics through the technical transition from a highly
specialized custom tool developer for customers such as NASA and JPL
to one offering high-level language software development tools.
Following the purchase of Intermetrics by AverStar Group, Julian
served as Chief Scientist, leading the company's transition into
distributed systems and eCommerce applications. Horn holds a BS in
Mathematics from MIT and a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford.
