Download and Install winIDEA

Every month, a new winIDEA ver­i­fied build is released. The winIDEA down­load pack­age includes five TASKING soft­ware prod­ucts: winIDEA, testIDEA, Ana­lyz­er, daqIDEA, winIDEA SDK for Python, and over 100 Exam­ple Work­spaces span­ning a wide array of micro­con­troller archi­tec­tures.

Windows Installation

The ver­sion for Microsoft Win­dows is avail­able as a down­load link. It is offered in two ver­sions to cater to your needs.

The Installer Edi­tion is a reg­u­lar Win­dows installer (Wiz­ard) that places the soft­ware into a des­ig­nat­ed fold­er (e.g., Pro­gram Files), auto­mat­i­cal­ly cre­ates short­cuts on your desk­top and in the start menu, and includes an unin­staller for easy removal. This ver­sion is ideal if you pre­fer a smooth instal­la­tion process with straight­for­ward access and man­age­ment. How­ev­er, it requires admin­is­tra­tive priv­i­leges to install and leaves traces in the sys­tem reg­istry.

The Portable ver­sion con­sists of a col­lec­tion of files, includ­ing the exe­cutable, that can be copied to your com­put­er, net­work drive or remov­able media (e.g., USB flash drive). It does not leave any traces in the sys­tem reg­istry if the fold­er is delet­ed later. This ver­sion is per­fect if you need flex­i­bil­i­ty, porta­bil­i­ty or for envi­ron­ments with restrict­ed per­mis­sions.

Linux Installation
