Release Note

Scope

This release note covers the TASKING Pin Mapper for AURIX v1.1r1.

Contents

Important Notices

This is the first version of the stand-alone TASKING Pin Mapper for AURIX. It is based on the AURIX Configuration Tool (ACT) which is part of the TASKING VX-toolset for TriCore. The product can be licensed and installed separately from the TASKING VX-toolset for TriCore. The product contains the Pin Mapper only; the TASKING RTOS and the TASKING Software Platform (SWP) for iLLD are not included anymore, since these tools will be discontinued.

Improved layout of the Pin Configuration pane

The empty space between the pin configuration function-select controls and the follow-the-connection button has been reduced. The width of the pin configuration pane has been reduced accordingly. This improves the user experience, since you less frequently have to use the horizontal scroll bar.

Option to copy the device definition file into the user project

You can optionally ask the Pin Mapper to copy the device definition file, which it needs to generate project output files, into your project. This device definition file is used in subsequent builds of the project. If the project already contains a copy of the device definition file, this will not be overwritten with the device definition file from the product installation.

Generate C code for port pin configuration

The code generation for GPIO pins has not changed and is still based on the iLLD generic port pin driver. New is that a configuration function is generated for each peripheral, covering the port pins connected to that specific peripheral. The name of the peripheral is mangled into the function name.

Note that the iLLD drivers must be obtained separately from Infineon.

Display signal description in the form of a tool tip

A pin description is displayed when you hover the mouse over a pin name or signal name anywhere in the Pin Configuration pane.

Selection of SCR port pins is made visible in the Package view

When you connect one of the pins from the SCR_Ports then this is made visible in the Package view. For example, when port pin SCR_P00.0 of AURIX device TC38x is connected, then in the Package view pin P33.0 is replaced by pin SCR_P00.0.

Speed-up of GUI response time

In large packages such as the BGA516 of AURIX device TC39x, the response time when a checked icon becomes visible as result of a mouse click in a checkbox has been improved.

Generate CSV file for TQFP100 packages

AURIX devices TC22x and TC23x have a TQFP100 package available. No CSV file was generated in case this package was selected. This has been fixed in this version.
