Debug Adapters
Connecting to microcontroller target
A debug adapter is a component that serves as a bridge between an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and the debug interface on an embedded microcontroller.
TASKING offers a wide range of debug adapters in various configurations to support everything from simple debug to full trace interfaces. The debug adapter is designed with flexibility in mind as these adapters are engineered to accommodate different target connector pitches, ensuring compatibility with a variety of embedded systems.
Different microcontroller devices and architectures support different hardware interfaces and software protocols to facilitate debugging and tracing on TriCore, Arm-based SoC’s, RISC‑V etc. Several popular interfaces include JTAG, DAP, SWD, SWO and others.
