Facing Automotive Complexity

As part of its con­tin­u­ous inno­va­tion in auto­mo­tive elec­tron­ics, Flex Auto­mo­tive R&D Roma­nia set out to devel­op a next-gen­er­a­tion power appli­ca­tion unit based on the Infi­neon AURIX™ TC377TP micro­con­troller. The project required deter­min­is­tic real-time per­for­mance, strict func­tion­al safe­ty com­pli­ance, and high code efficiency—targets that its exist­ing gener­ic com­pil­er could no longer meet. To over­come these chal­lenges, the engi­neer­ing team eval­u­at­ed sev­er­al alter­na­tives and ulti­mate­ly select­ed the TASKING Tri­Core Toolset for TC3xx as the most capa­ble and future-proof solu­tion.

The deci­sive fac­tor was TASKING’s proven per­for­mance and reli­a­bil­i­ty in pre­vi­ous Flex Auto­mo­tive projects, where it con­sis­tent­ly helped reduce build times, improve run­time behav­ior, and sim­pli­fy debug­ging. Its deep inte­gra­tion with Infi­neon hard­ware and AUTOSAR envi­ron­ments enabled smooth migra­tion, min­i­mized setup effort, and allowed engi­neers to focus on opti­miz­ing con­trol algo­rithms instead of low-level debug­ging.
