Innovating with Hydrogen: Meet the Customer

H2 Power ‘n‘ Heat GmbH is a clean­tech start­up found­ed in 2021, ded­i­cat­ed to hydro­gen-based ener­gy sys­tems for mobil­i­ty and decen­tral­ized power gen­er­a­tion. Their flag­ship solu­tion, the H2 Power Box, is a patent-pro­tect­ed hydro­gen fuel cell sys­tem designed to reduce reliance on large bat­ter­ies, min­i­mize CO₂ and mate­r­i­al foot­print, and pro­vide ener­gy alter­na­tives where charg­ing infra­struc­ture is lim­it­ed.

From Vision to First Line of Code

With a small engi­neer­ing team—only one devel­op­er at the time—the com­pa­ny need­ed a reli­able, easy-to-learn develop­ment envi­ron­ment to start build­ing their embed­ded con­trol soft­ware quick­ly and effi­cient­ly.

The Right Tool for the Right Team

To sup­port their hydro­gen ener­gy con­trol units based on TTC32s ECUs, H2 Power ‘n‘ Heat imple­ment­ed the TASKING VX-toolset for C166 (v3.0r3). Accord­ing to Mr. Har­ald Scherg, Con­trol Sys­tems Engi­neer, the smooth learn­ing curve and the eval­u­a­tion peri­od were crit­i­cal in quick­ly ramp­ing up develop­ment.

Outcome: From Prototype to Production

Encour­aged by the smooth eval­u­a­tion expe­ri­ence and the strong per­for­mance of the toolset, H2 Power ‘n’ Heat tran­si­tioned to a full pro­duc­tion license in July 2025. This mutu­al­ly ben­e­fi­cial part­ner­ship has sup­port­ed the startup’s rapid develop­ment while rein­forc­ing TASKING’s posi­tion as a trust­ed tech­nol­o­gy provider in the clean ener­gy sec­tor.

Build­ing on the suc­cess of our com­pil­er col­lab­o­ra­tion, we see strong poten­tial to deep­en our part­ner­ship with H2 Power ‘n’ Heat by sup­port­ing their future needs in func­tion­al safe­ty and code qual­i­ty assur­ance. Ini­tial dis­cus­sions around debug­ger solu­tions are already under­way, and the intro­duc­tion of TASKING’s code analy­sis tech­nolo­gies could fur­ther accel­er­ate their inno­va­tion in clean mobil­i­ty sys­tems.
