Powering the Future: TASKING and MicroFuzzy Drive Innovation in e-PowerTrain Development

Empowering e-PowerTrain Development Through Strategic Tooling and Collaboration

What is it about

About MicroFuzzy

Headquartered in Germany, MicroFuzzy operates as a local subsidiary of the KPIT Group, with a specialized focus on e-PowerTrain solutions. Since forming a strategic partnership with KPIT on December 12, 2016, the company has leveraged its deep expertise in automotive software and electric powertrain development to drive innovation in sustainable mobility. As a proud member of the KPIT Group, MicroFuzzy continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electrified vehicle technologies.

Overcoming Multicore Challenges in e-Powertrain Projects

MicroFuzzy is currently undertaking an E-Machine/Inverter project centered around Infineon’s AURIX™ TC389X microcontroller. This initiative aims to develop high-performance, safety-critical software to support next-generation electric drive systems. A dedicated team of approximately seven engineers based in the Munich office is working on a Proof of Concept (PoC) to validate toolchains, development workflows, and key functionalities early in the project lifecycle.
Given the complexity of e-PowerTrain systems and the stringent demands on functional safety, real-time performance, and multicore efficiency, the team required a proven development solution that could ensure both fast ramp-up and long-term scalability.

Flexible Licensing, Smooth Integration

To support their PoC activities for e-PowerTrain development, MicroFuzzy selected TASKING’s proven VX-toolset for TriCore. After thoroughly evaluating the project requirements and development setup, TASKING provided a licensing solution that matched their technical and organizational needs—while also optimizing cost efficiency. The rollout and integration into the local toolchain proceeded smoothly, enabling the development team to move forward without delay.

Accelerated Start with the Right Tool Strategy

TASKING provided exceptional support in clarifying licensing requirements and proposing a solution that was both technically well-suited and cost-efficient. The implementation process was smooth and effective, enabling the development team to quickly get up and running with the new toolchain. The collaboration significantly streamlined tool setup and allowed engineers to stay focused on their core development tasks.

“We received a swift and effective solution that immediately removed our roadblock and allowed us to resume development without delay. Thanks to the timely and professional support, we were able to deliver our software on schedule. I truly appreciate the responsiveness and dedication of the team, and I would be glad to collaborate with them again in the future.”

Exploring Collaboration Beyond the Initial Phase

As MicroFuzzy continues to advance its expertise in e-PowerTrain systems and expand its role within the KPIT Group, we see strong potential for deeper collaboration. TASKING’s proven track record in high-performance embedded software tools and safety-critical development aligns well with MicroFuzzy’s innovation-driven roadmap. We look forward to supporting future projects and creating long-term value together.
