We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Engineer to join our Technical Customer Support team at TASKING. We are preferably looking for someone in Bavaria, near Regensburg or Munich. As an Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful use of TASKING Embedded Development solutions for our valued customers. Responsibilities:

  •     Support the sales team in pre-sales and customer support activities for both the compiler as well as the debugger product line (previously iSYSTEM)
  •     Development and maintenance of customer contacts in close cooperation with sales
  •     Cooperation with product management, development and marketing
  •     Testing of new products features and versions
  •     Creation of demonstrators, technical articles, application notes and presentations
  •     Active participation in conferences and trade shows
  •     Drive demand creation at automotive customer base in regions, in close collaboration with sales and support groups
  •     Provide first-level technical support and help resolve application issues
  •     Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering
  •     Conduct embedded software tool demonstrations and technical trainings
  •     Collect technical requirements for product development and communicate to Product Marketing and R&D teams
  •     Create technical marketing and support materials (presentations, application notes, white papers, etc.), together with Product Marketing

Qualifications:

  •     Bachelor or Master's Degree desirable (electrical engineering, computer science or comparable field, or a combination of equivalent education and/or experience
  •     At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development in C / C++ or with the usage of software compilers as well as debug and trace tools
  •     Experience in the automotive and safety environment as well as microcontrollers (AURIX, ARM, RH850 etc.) required
  •     Experience with customer facing technical demonstrations and trainings
  •     Willingness and ability to travel as required with short or no notice. 20-30% travel expected
  •     Excellent group and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  •     Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, desire to work in a fast-paced environment, passion and enthusiasm for the goals, products and the vision of our company
  •     Business fluent speaking and writing skills in English and German
  •     Self-motivated, willingness to learn, high degree of pro-activity and desire to keep up to date in the industry
